It’s my pleasure to announce my new role in Book Production and Marketing at Pomeranian Books, the new imprint created by Booker longlisted author, Louise Dean. The imprint will publish quality works of literary fiction and is accepting submissions now. Books published through the imprint will also be put forward for consideration to many of the top literary prizes and will be submitted on an author’s behalf.
In my role, I will take an author’s raw manuscript and turn it into a beautifully formatted book in both print and ebook formats, ready for readers to devour. Advertising and marketing are also areas I will be involved in, to ensure books find their way into as many readers’ hands as possible.
Also on the team at Pomeranian Books is Louise Tucker, an experienced editor and novelist. She will ensure each author’s work is edited to the highest standard before going to print.Louise Dean, the founder of Pomeranian Books, is a multiple prize-winning author who runs writing courses for a worldwide audience via The Novelry and also residential writing retreats in the UK. I first found Louise Dean after scouring the internet for a writing mentor to guide me to finish a complete novel. After speaking to her on the phone, I knew I’d found the right mentor, and just 56 days after joining her Ninety Day Novel course, I’d completed my first 65,000 word draft of a novel!
Louise also has courses for those wishing to write what she terms a ‘Classic’ – books that take the reader on a journey into another world with a story that can live on forever. You can read my review of the How to Write a Classic course here.
Once you have your first draft, Louise’s help doesn’t stop there. She has her very own Editing Courses which take you through the process of moving from first draft to finished novel, ready for submission to agents. I’d highly recommend heading over to The Novelry and checking out all of Louise’s courses.
If you’re an author of quality literary fiction and haven’t yet found yourself an agent or publisher, why not pop onto the Pomeranian Books website and checkout the submssion guidelines. Nothing ventured, nothing gained!
In the meantime, I’m off to finish my latest work in progress…!
